This summer we have had more drama in the skies than normal. Actually, almost an year's worth starting with Hurricane Ike last September 11. This is the dying throws of a fantastic sunset at a lake near my home!
Hope you all have a great day!

Hi Linda,
Fantastic sunset indeed, although we can see only short stripes of the warm colours of setting sun. The drama is well captured on the sky and even the reflections of the clouds look clear and sharp on the lake. It was nice to include the old boat as well, it makes it a moody , calm picture. TFS.
Have a nice day!

Waw ! the boat seems floating in the sky. Nice soft tones for a peacefull composition.
Best regards
John

Hi Linda,
A dramatic sunset indeed!
Very few can be seen of sunset but the effect is there!
It seems that you copied the sky and pasted it upside down to creat the reflection and added the boat!
A great artistic presentation, well seen and photographed by your great skill.
Congratulations!

Francis Xavier

Hi Linda...good job on this one...excellent composition with great deep tones.

Hello Linda,
Very nice picture. I took a few seconds to see the small boat in the FG. Then the angler I am turned upside down.
You see, I love sunsets but I also love fishing and suddenly the picture spoke to me in both ears at the same time.

I took the picture and modified it so that I see the boat at first glance. I pushed saturation and luminance just a bit and the result is different but nice too.

Very good and TFS with us.

Hi Linda
moody atmosphere and a dramatic sky
fantastic smoothness of the sky and water
good sharpness and beautiful color tones with artistic silhouettes
the boat add the feeling of solitude
Nicely done!
Have a good day!

Hi Linda,
If one had to choose between this ,or the WS image it would be a hard choice, there is so slight a difference, but I would lean towards the WS,there's just a bit more warmth in it
& I like that type of mood. This is a strong image,I really like the reflection of that dramatic sky in the water. The image has a nice balance & peaceful mood to it.

This looks like a beautiful dream world. I love the softness of the clouds and reflections. I'm sure the angels are fluttering about. TFS

nice reflection in this composition, good balance of sky and reflection for that matter, very eye pleasing shot,
did these clouds glow red and orange from this sunset? they usually will about 15 minutes after the sun sets, i am almost suprized these are not glowing-not that it bothers me as it is composed so skillfully and shot so pro like,
well done on this, i really like it!

Hi Linda

The solitary boat at left makes a nice focal point. Superb reflections with attrctive muted sunset colours & excellent sharpness. Have a nice weekend!

Hi, Linda -
Amazing! The sky is incredible and the reflection is so clear. Nice work capitalizing on the fading light for these warm soft colors. The rough linear pattern of the clouds creates a nice set of lines to lead the eye through the frame. Great stuff.

Hello Linda! Very interesting sunset, nice light and shadow, ideal contrast, perfect capture and exposure. Good work. Well done!
