[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An overcast day in San Francisco, a camera in hand...what to do? Something like this, possibly. I was considering this as a "vanishing point" shot for the Scavenger Hunt at TE but decided it works better LIKE THIS... Since no one is paying much attention at this site, anyway, I said why not? ;-)

I highlighted the whole image and then used the lasso tool to exlude the sign and the yellow. Then I desaturated the balance of the image and inverted it. I returned to the full image and saturated the yellow and red before applying USM and adjusting levels. This is the eerie, forbidding result. And you'd better NOT trespass on this municipal railway line...

Great idea. You wanted it eerie and the result is really such. Composition is also very good.

Very very cool, Curtis!! I love the compostion with the vanishing point just off center and the way that you have framed the photo with the power lines and the building, all which help to continue to draw our eye down those tracks. The pp is wonderful as well. Excellent work!
