Just some random experimentation to shoot the moon, and it's not easy. I struggle with every shot I try on those times when the moon is full. What F-stop? How do you keep the FG visible, without blowing out the details of the moon. Haze helps alot! This was just an experimental shot, Taken Thursday night here in Houston.
Hope you all have a great day!

Hi Linda You're back!

I like the flattened perspective from the zoom, The moon is a superb focal point. Excellent sharpness, & the neon really 'glows'. Tfs!

Yay!! It's straightened out! And this is a wonderful full moon shot. I really admire the way you've kept the well lit areas sharp and still have nice details on the full moon. Very nicely placed in the composition, too. Cool shot and glad to see you back!! Many thanks and warmest wishes,
Shelly

good day linda! a good experiment with exposure, captured the whole scene very well, 1/30th seems to be a perfect shutter for the moon,
thanks scott

Hi Linda,

Nice to see the idiots haven't stopped you posting, if we lost you we would be as well shutting TL down. I like this shot their is a lot going on but it works, the moon and the signs stand out really well. Here's to your next 45389 posts.

Kia ora Linda
Love the bright red lights here. And the moon - yes, F22 it wrong for a sharp moon. And I only know 'F22'!!
Interesting scene with so many different bits and pieces added to the whole pic. But the moon reigns supreme over them all.

HI Linda,
I like this post. I saw the moon as well on Thursday and it almost looked like a harvest moon. You've done a good job on the fg details-- as well as keeping the moon in tact. Well done and TFS Julie

I like the dusky ambience and the American realism of ubiquitous architecture. New realism by Mama Linda :) nice moon! Love. Janos
