I love the look of film, I love the tones, the grain, everything about it. Yes, it's a pain, you gotta wait! Sometimes waiting is good. This is my mother, at a party at my house last May.
Hope you all have a great day and a great weekend!

Hi Linda,

Lovely shot of your mum, great natural side light and the little touch of grain in the right hand shadow area is perfect film grain, yes it has a look all of it's own. Hope your mum is happy with your image.

Douglas

great shot. she lookes lovely too.

the depth is simply awesome, gives you that warm feeling.

cheers!

Hello Linda,
A very striking resemblance to yourself is your mother's portrait. The tones and values in this image ar perfect, and you captured the light very nicely.
Very Nice, and have a great weekend...

Hi Linda,

What a beautiful portret you have here. The expression, colours, light, it just all fits. A great weekend to you too!

TFS Greetings Simone

lovely capture of light, the film grain along with the b/w adds such a nice classic elegant feel, this is super!
have a great friday!
thanks,
scott

hi linda.
you have a wonderful way with light. superb tones and clarity.
another fab b/w.

hugs.
Brian

Hi Linda,
Could easily mistake this for a digital image, definitely worth the wait :). The POV works well with your mother looking towards the sun. The B&W seems to compliment the exposure nicely. Well photographed.

TFS,
Scott.

HI Linda...I like the look of this film as well...somehow the details are there but softer and more subtle...The range of tones seems more subtle as well...nice work.

Roger

Hi Linda,
A fine B&W portrait, like the little grain and blur, it makes the picture authentic. The light is superb creating a nice mood. Excellent posting Linda!

She is a very beautiful lady!! You have some great genes girl! What I like most here is the peaceful, homey, cozy feeling. She looks so totally relaxed. I can smell that coffee and the cookies. TFS

hello Linda..
beautiful.. and quiet unusual... pose is really original and effective.. the same result.. is about the natural expression you was able to catch.. great b&w mood.. on film.. of course.. and really cool!..
great job! my compliments
ciao Marco

Hi, Linda -
Yes, film seems to have its own organic quality that can't be reproduced in digital. I love your portraits of your mother. Her face has so much character. The way she is turned toward the light here with her head slightly inclined gives a bit of a spiritual feels to the image. Amazing tones and sharpness. Well done.

Beautiful old lady. b&w was the right decision.
Cheers,
HL
