What a great weekend! I spent most of it out of town! We had a grand day at the shore yesterday, the sky was perfect, nice wind blowing, nice waves, all was good! I added a vignetting around the shot and a bloom to add drama and impact.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
B-)
Linda

Hi Linda

Not sure, if it's a coincidence, but it was recently the 40th anniversary of 'Woodstock', & the line 'I came across a child of God' is in the old 'Matthews Southern Comfort' song. But I digress. I like the textural details in the sand & also the yellow-ochre color contrast, of the sand, with the blue sky. Good sharpness & perspective. Tfs!

Hi Linda,
Sounds like a perfect day to spend some time at the beach. I really like the lines in the sand created by tires. I also like the low POV, the vivd blue skies and those clouds. I really like the way you composed this shot. Excellent work.
Regards,
Kevin

Hello Linda
Nice capture, i like the horizontal track which leads to the building. The wide frame is effective and the clouds looks beautiful.

Good take

Cheers

Hi Linda,
What a perspective!
I love your POV and this large foreground with the prints of tires.
The wide angle gives a terrific sense of space, here! EXcellent colors so fresh and alive!
I am glad you passed a splendid weekend! Here it was a heatwave!
Bravo! Annie

Hi Linda,
Yep. well observed and captured. Perfect POV nicely low (were you on your belly when taking this shot?) Anyway composition with the rule of thirds is spot on creating an interesting image. Superb clarity and colours perfect sharp too!
Hans

Just goes to show how good composition and good exposure control and good post-work can deliver a spectacular image of the most everyday scene. Love it!

Very nice work!! I like the vertical format and incredible depth. It's interesting viewing all the tracks in the sand. Amazing detail! TFS

Hi Linda..I like this shot...different point of view...higher horizon...risky...I like it. Congratulations.

Roger

Where are the people? And with all those tyre marks - no wonder there's no one there!!
I like your composition Linda, the vignetting certainly suits the scene. And the white clouds show up well against the blue sky. Well captured

Hi...
Beautiful perspective...
Nice texture, colors...

Andro

Ah, this is great! I really like your choices here - the use of the long portrait frame really emphasizes the textured tracks in the sand; shooting toward the houses rather than the surf; using the wide angle to create a sense of big space; the vignette gives it a nostalgic feel. Very sharp, with warm summer color. Great stuff, Linda!

When you fly into Pittsburgh, will you be staying in town at all before going to Niagra Falls?

Wow ! Nice shot ..

i really like ur choice of wide angle lens for this shot - it helps capture the drama more effectively by placing empasis on the tyre tracks ! The vignetting brings out a nice feel to this capture and i think was a good choice.

i really like the sky in this shot ... it would have been even greater if u tried doing an HDR with this shot.

great work !

Dramatic sky, good lead ins with the tyre tracks and the trade mark vignetting all add up to make this a great shot Linda.
Nice work!

David

Hello Linda

This image is just awesome. I like the sharpness of the entire image. It is what makes it work. The POV is excellent.

Jimmy
