BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Thousands of delicately carved spires rise and marches in brilliant colors from Inspiration Point of Bryce Canyon National Park. Millions of years of wind, water and geologic mayhem have shaped and etched the pink cliffs at BryceCanyon, which isn't actually a canyon but the eastern slope of the Paunsaguant Plateau. This is one of the view I took in this area of the park. Another one I posted at TE Bryce Canyon.
People have lived in the Colorado Plateau region for about 12,000 years, but only random fragments of worked stone reveal their presence. Artifacts add details of human use at lower elevations. American Paiutes Indian lived in this region when settlers and other people came to southern Utah. The settlers accounted for the "hoodoos" as the "Legend People" whom Coyote has turned to stone.
