[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo on our last evening at the Gahr Farm. It was the only sunset covered by clouds and it announced a change in the weather. The next morning clouds had rolled in and a little drizzle felt down on us.

I had already scoped out the field of daisies a few days before. But until that evening the light was unfavorable to me. That evening it all came together pretty good. There were clouds and wind. The wind allowed me to slow down my shutter speed and get some movement in the otherwise static daisies. The clouds gave the photo some more interest and color variation. I did need to use a 0.6 ND filter to get the desired effect in the foreground and I used a 0.9 ND grad to balance the exposure.
In the far distance you can see the, by now, familiar main house of the Gahr Farm.

As to almost all of my landscape photos, a tripod, spirit level and remote control were used.

Hello Niek,

I'm taking a way too quick review of your photos and saw this one with its sweet daisies in the foreground. I think have some out of focus flowers adds a lot to the "aliveness" of the image. Also, the contrasting types of cloud formations and layers of texture, i.e., field of flowers, hills in the middle and the sweeping sky . . . delicious.

Beautifully composed with excellent capture of light - and those shifting daisies are a fantastic, unique and original touch that give this shot such impact and dynamism.

I can't help wishing, even if the shot is "upright," that the distant base of the hills appeared level, rather than angled down to the left.

Nice landscape shot showing a low POV. I like your use of the thirds rule and the rolling hills in the BG. This looks like a beautiful place. Nice shot.

This beautiful field of flowers realy creates a great DOF! Great colours and nice details. A slight rotation to the right would be better maybe (a straight horizon) but other than that a beautiful shot!
