[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Many lakes in Texas have gone bone dry, or are so low that the Parks and Wildlife Department have closed access to the lakes. I talked to my sister yesterday and she said that "old towns" are now visible in these man-made lakes in Central Texas. Artifacts, old cars, etc are becoming visible! I plan a trip up there in a few weeks to kick around and see what I can see! This is a shot of Lake Travis. Normally, this is a bridge over water.
I'm up early today, on the bicycle and will be gone all day! Hope you have a great day!
B-)
Linda

hi linda,
a monochrome full of depth, the convertion brought out a good contrast, the composition and the vignetting made it a classical one.
regards..........another

Nice antique effect here Linda - you power tripper you!

Interesting effect with the monotone, especially in the area of the vignetting! Almost has a daguerotype (how does one spell that?) feel to it..

Hi Linda,
Impressive black and white shot of this dried out creek bed. I like the lighting on the rocks and the detail in the FG. The vignetting really draws the eye to the bridge. Nice work Linda.
Regards,
Kevin

Hi Linda

A superb b&w image, of the bridge, with good sharpness, framing & tonal range. An excellent, & informative note. Have a nice weekend!

Hi Linda,
Looks to me like you guys need some rain from us.
The photo looks tilted to the right and its a pitty that the start of the bridge is not in the photo. I do like your post processing because it added a lot of mood to the composition.

Niek

So now the trip must be over and you are sound asleep in your bed.
Sorry I couldn't make it up there in time - the plane was late taking off.
Nicely shot and PP'd Linder. In love the colour tone and the sharp features too
Well done
Janice
