[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Time to move away from Yamhill county and onward to the east of Oregon.

This day we planned a trip to Hells Canyon. Our first stop was at the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center near Baker City. From this center you had a great view over Baker Valley, a well irrigated area where farming has been going on for many generations.

I did not do the best job on making the panorama. I didn't use a tripod and made only three photos in landscape format. Hence the curve in the horizon. The original curve was a lot worse but correcting it even more would cut of too much of the sky and foreground. Ah well, a good lesson learned.

What a great shot of a beautiful place. I agree with you could not afford to lose any more sky. More sky would have been better however it is a nice panorama.

Hi Niek

A superb wide angled panoramic view with good sharpness. I have to try this, one time. The lookout with the dark fenceposts makes a good focal point at right. A superb view of the valley below, with excellent pastel colours. Tfs!

That is a wonderful admission, wonderful panorama of the landscape of mountains is excellent view. Perfect light and detail. Very good composition and a very interesting picture.

Very impressive panorama! Especially for being a hand-held one! The details look perfect throughout, I love the dry natural looking tones here too. Quite strong and defined cloud coverage, it seems to cast a nice mood over the photo. Looks like a great place, well taken.
