[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I must be nuts, because I let my sister drag me back into this area, limestone rock sides, shoulder high grass, warm day, pools of clear water..... not good in Texas! It's PRIME snake area, yet we saw nothing. We walked for a about a mile up a fork of the San Gabriel River, which is mostly dry, but pockets of spring water are still flowing. My sister knows no fear, and she loves exploring, which makes her lots of fun!

I did this as a single image, converted from RAW to TIFF three times and merged the images.

Hope you like it!
B-)
Linda

BIG BAD DOG WOOF,
Indeed, crystal clear!
Its a great think to find, today, water like this.
Congratulation for your capture.

Hi, Linda -
This is just beautiful - the placid pool with lovely reflection is perfectly exposed with sharp details. Great technical work to combine the multiple images to get this result. Your sister sounds like fun - I used to hike alone in the Alps all of the time, which is a "no-no" but I could not resist the urge to explore. Cheers -

Bom dia Sweety Dog Woof,
Awesome shot, beautiful lightness, tonalities, reflection.
Fine work!
Saudações,
Raimundo

Hi Linda,I don't believe anyone, sister included, could drag you anywhere you didn't want to go to, not with that name tag anyway:)
One really gets the feel of this location, you captured this setting perfectly.I like the flow of light in the foreground to the darker background,as well as the details, you still were able to show us in the shadows. That small bit of color, really draws ones eye into this scene, as does the narrowing of the stream. No fualts here IMHO.

grandiose cette photo
les reflets dans l'eau sont merveilleux
les couleurs donnent une ambiance féérique à la photo
beau boulot

hi dog.
i'm loving the rich, earthy tones in this pic.
you have a good way with single shot hdr.
this could be a scene from Deliverance (i know. different state)
have a nice day, y'all.

Hi Linda...great tones...do you have specific exposures you are using? I know you have a different HDR program but have you used Photomatix and did you have good results?

Roger
