[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's the season for butterflies and hummingbirds in Texas. We have had a little rain, temps are a little cooler, the maples here are losing their green, and headed toward yellow. Glad to be here and a part of it all!

Hi Linda

Greetings from Wonju in Korea. Don't know exactly where it is, but it's much closer to Danyang (where I want to go), than Ganghwa or Incheon, where I was this morning / this afternoon. (All busses to Danyang were booked out for Chuseok / Korean Thanksgiving). Perfect dof & sharpness on the orange Monarch butterfly here. Tfs!

ALways a pleasure to see a butterfly in freedom.

Great focus management and I like especially the light on these wild flowers.
THE perfect timing ! Nice and ZEN for my eyes and my mind to see this photo.
A so sweet composition, elegant work.

Hi Linda,
Ahhh--- this is wonderful. I have not seen many monarchs this year which is bizarre? Thank you for sharing yours. Really nice colors/great details and I love the purple flower he's resting on. A nice happy post !! Well done and TFS Julie

Ciao Linda, wonderful butterfly on a beautiful flower, fantastic colors and splendid sharpness, very well done, brava, ciao Silvio

Excelente macro de esta mariposa tan colorida y nitida
Buen trabajo
un saludo

Linda,

Beautiful details of the butterfly. Keeping a short DOF makes the subject to stand out.

Cheers,

Wellington

Hi Linda,

Terrific details of this butterfly. Forget the encyclopedia as you have "the shot"! The soft green background is perfect for this colorful monarch (my guess). The lavender color flower adds a little extra "oomph" to the photo. Everything is placed perfectly in the composition. Kudos to you! :) Lisa

Hi, Linda -
Great butterfly macro with deep, rich colors and fine detail. Love the white spots on its body. Nicely blurred background and the flowers provide a burst or bright color. Well done.
