KC's Introduction
I wanted to introduce a new member to our family as of a couple weeks ago.....KC(Kitty Cat) is her name. Also, one of the reasons for my lack of time for post's and critiques.
On a warm Friday evening a Friend of ours Brian was over and we had some dinner and a few drinks. We were out in the garage with the door open enjoying a smoke and in comes this adorable little b/w kitty. Just friendly as anything and farely skinny like she has not eaten for a few weeks. Melissa gave her some food and she was just mealing away at the food and we had to take some away so she would not engorge herself. She would eat a little and come and sit on your lap and hang out for a bit. Very clean kitty for seeeming to be lost. So eventually she leaves us that evening. The next day we do not see her until later in the afternoon/evening. So we give her some more food and water and she hangs out for a bit.
We were getting ready to leave for the evening to go meet some friends and at the time KC was still hanging around. She was sitting in one of the chairs we have in the garage. So I left the garage door cracked when we left and we were gone for like 6hrs. Came back home about 3:30am and openend the garage and there was KC still sitting in the chair. We decided to see how long she would hang out(probably not to difficult to figure out since we were feeding her) and so she would hang out in the garage with the door cracked and I had a fan going for her so it would not be so hot. Well, this whole thing in living in the garage lasted about 2 days and I really wanted to bring her inside becasue she was not going anywhere it seemed. So I actually took off work early that Monday(had some overtime accumulated)and took her to the Vet. She checked out ok and the vet said she was in good health. But one catch the vet said she might be pregnant.....ohhhhhh...did not think about that one. Oh well, $100 later for shots/exam and KC entered into our family.
I will have to end the story here for the character limitation.
Hope you enjoy this cutie as we are. She is so friendly and really smart.

pp-no crop, full frame, just resized with border, slight color adjustment and usm.
I know her paw is cut of on the right frame but I had to make a decision when shooting so she was not framed so far to the left.
The little orange piece she is guarding is a toy mouse. She is extremely difficult to photograph when she is playing and I was on the floor trying to get shots of her when she came up and layed right behind me so I slowly turned around and got off some shots. Thanks. |

Beautiful capture of a beautiful cat, Michael. And an excellent note too. So you'll be a dad a lot sooner than you had expected ;P. Well, hope everything works out fine for your family. Take care. TFS.
I'm not too keen on pets pictures, but this is a good one. I like the soft light and the abundance of details, including what looks like pollen on its right ear! TFS!
Lovely shot! And a great story as well. I just tonight posted a picture of our new kitten as well and then came across your picture. I couldn't get our kitten to sit still for a pose such as this. Very well done. Enjoy your new kitten!
She is a beauty Michael!!! And we all go crazy around them, because cats are really funny to photograph, though also difficult I admit ;-)))
Beautiful note and I believe that KC has finally found her home ;-))
Beautiful photo too!!! The light and the details are fantastic.

Hello KC, and congratulations to Mum and Dad. You guys are so nice to adopt her and look after her. This little kitty is adorable. I love the expression in her eyes. You did a great job on the focusing for this one, and the lighting is nice and soft. I also have a cat, but I bet you know that already with tons of Tinka pics on TL. I hope you take lots of shots of her to show me. I love cats, dogs, or anything that has four legs, or feathers. I find photographing my cat is the most challenging thing I've done. She never keeps still long enough. Have fun with her and keep on clicking.
P.S. My Tinka loves tissue paper and scrunched up pipe cleaners. Buy some for KC.
Wooooh what a beautiful cat, very nice photo.
