I went flying with my brother yesterday and got some really great arial photos of Vermont! I also got really nauseous!

This was the preflight checkup on the plane.

Just tried lighting the body of the pane and my brother a little bit. The vignetting is from the lens but it does not bother me since I would have probably put a little bit in anyway. :)

Here is another very centered photo on TrekEarth

Suggestions welcome!
JP

With a higher apperature you might have been able to get more of the ground in focus closer to the camera, while not losing the plane. It looks plenty bright enough for a F/20+ shot.

Very cool though, I can't wait to see some arial shots!

Hi JP

I like the low pov & graphism of the shadowed plane against the lighter sky. Perhaps I'd make a slight cw rotational correction. The shallow dof & sharpness are excellent. Well done!

I had a long look at the pic and thought of many things to put in the near foreground etc.
At the end I gave up and thought how the angle of the camera made this very small plane look bigger. Especially with the use of the panoramic background...

I like pics where I can think for a while... Well done!

this is a nice series from you, JP! the vignetting really looks natural inasmuch as the corners are equally darker. and you tilted it again to remind us that it's you who's taking the shot! :)

I'd be a wuss about flying in those little planes, but I bet it's great when you're up there at however high you go. Look forward to the sky pics.

Hm..im in love with planes..and with flying..

This shot is special cuz of the point of view u choosed here..to put the camera low, almost to the ground, gives a feeling, that we already are already flying..and make the sky more bigger than it is in real..Well done!!!!

See u,kiss.A.

very cool angle JP
the vignetting actually looks good in the shot :)

You have a knack for getting a good perspective . Your other photograph is quite nice as well . I like the different viewpoints. Jim

I like the low POV and vignetting. Superb stuff! TFS! :)

Did you put the camera on the floor to shoot this btw?

Great perspective and the colors are not so bad. There is something on the light thad doesn't convince.

PS
Considering the high standard you made me used to, to be able to keeo a meaning to points, to I decided to keep the two points for the "perfect" pictures. From now on the good ones will take only one and the average no points.

A hug

Guido

hola Mr. JP! this one looks fantastic! my fave of the flying series so far. love the low-down perspective and blurred foreground. although, i wish you had included the end of that propeller...you would have had space for that too, if your cam was just a tiny bit higher, since the foreground is about 1/4 of the pic. besides that, the sharpness is great and the vignetting makes it a little bit more special :)
cheers dude!

i flew a piper once, and nearly crapped my pants. it shakes like crazy on the takeoff, but at least the landing is smooth.

i like the angle and the positioning of the camera, great thinking of including the pavement!

good job
bart

Nice photo.
The wings should have been captured in all.
