Hi Niek, you managed very well the distortion tool and you weren't fooled in overexposing the white walls, the use of a CP helped control that and allowed to 'boost' the blue in that sky to just the right amount .I used to screw one on and keep it on most of the time , i like the color saturation it produces . I feel the effect of the wind by the slant on the grass to the left ,the placement of your main subject at the far right is fine , it makes for an airy composition , well it works for me ,

I love the simplicity here Niek! Just a simple lighthouse, clear sky, but sometimes it's all that is needed! Love the blue and white together! That polarizer makes the shot, love that deep blue!

Hi Niek,
I like how you have captured the grasses blowing in the wind,also the gradual lightening of the dark blue sky at the top of the image to the lighter at the bottom.I like the narrow foreground & the large expanse of sky. The colours & details of the lighthouse are so natural & its details sharp & crisp.Lighthouses are normally to be found in remote parts of a coastline & this image gives me this feeling of remoteness,Great Shot.

Love this Niek... the blues are absolutely outstanding, as is the composition. This is simply THE way to show a lighthouse in a picture.

For a moment I was wondering if you have not taken any shots in the mist... that too can be quite impressive. Not as colorful, but quite impressive indeed.

Fantastic Niek! I love this kind of simple view and simple composition .. especially the cloudless sky. So often people seem to prefer dramatic clouds, but I much prefer the simple clean look of a clear blue sky. Love the gradient of color in the sky too. Very nice shot.

Hello Niek,I like this for the feeling of space you have created.
The filter did a good job,the deep blue sky is a beautiful contrast with the red roofs and the white of the lighthouse.
A fine piece of work.

Nou ik kan eidelijk dankzij jou wat meer met CS3 :-) Jij mag dan niet van die knetter blauwe luchten houden, met dit contrast (rood-wit-blauw) is niets mis! Super scherp en een prachtige evenwichtige compositie. Klasse plaat Niek.

J’aime beaucoup la disposition décalée à l’ extrême du sujet.
Le contraste fort est parfaitement maîtrisé pour en donner de belles couleurs.
