Bom dia Linda,
The great actress here is the light, bathing the flower.
Tha's 'linda', in Portuguese or Brazilian.
Bon voyage,

Linda have a great time with Tricia
Like your choice of the yellow rose (for a different reason than most, my nieces husband just getting back from tour of duty)
Detail in the lower petal makes it look like I can reach out and touch it.

sai cosa mi piace di pių in questa foto?
La luce e le ombre dentro i petali della rosa
gran bel dettaglio shelly
bello il dettaglio che c'č sulla foglia in basso e le varianti del colore giallo
Lo sfondo sfuocato di verde intenso denota che questo colore sta passando.
Bravissima!

Hello Linda, what a beautiful yellow rose.
The light and the sharp quality has really brought out the depth and texture of the flower.
It is quite 3 dimensional on my screen.
Thanks for setting the theme this week, there are lots of interesting shots.
Have a good holiday.
Best wishes Jean.

Colour - yes ! yes! yes! - beautiful and very natural yellow. Great clarity and sharpness and stunning light.
I'm really impressed by this work Linda - I have no choice but repeat yellow on my post - you've inspired me.
Very classy!!! that beauty rose is...
Tom:)
Hello Linda,
Lovely yellow colour and sharpness on display here with the underexposure adding some creative spark to this shot. However, this deliberate underexposure always adds some noise/grain and I did you a workshop on removing this noise and cropping out some negative space. Please tell me if you like it and the details are given in the workshop. This is a great photograph and thanks for sharing,
cheers,
Dilshan
The sunlight shining on the rose makes it look even prettier I think. It makes it stand out from the dark BG. Beautifully captured MF.
Have you noticed how many flower shots are in the theme - wonderful natural vibrant colours. An awesome artist at work creating and painting them :)
Have a great weekende with Tricia - and remember - no talking about us!!! Give her a big hug from me...

Hi Linda,
Intense, indeed! Not only with this vibrant yellow but also with all connotative memories about roses in the woman life!
They are there in the sorrows and joy times. This one is especially beautiful. The light has carved the depth and the definition of volumes very nicely. Very good work!
Thanks for this theme and have a great meeting with Tricia!
It seems we have both an intense life isn't it! :)

Lovely, you chose a rose as well. Nice composition with thw main subject off centre, you have used the natural light from the sun to great effect and you have achieved nice dof.
Safe travels.
Hi Linda,
Lovely saturation, none of the weak watery digital colours that so many people seem to want.
I like the deep contrast between the dark background the green and the yellow.
Have a lovely time in new England, the colours should be amazing, look forward to seeing lovely SATURATED colours, YES I am fed up with so many people never really knowing what deep colour from slide film was like and thinking every shot is over saturated, Sorry Linda, I have had my rave now, I know you understand what I mean as a long time film user yourself.

Bonsoir Linda,
Nice contribution to the theme. Yellow color is very intense despite the harsh contrasty light. Probably the intensification of the yellow by the warm low light. Nice work and TFS.

Hi Linda
Good entry in the theme. Excellent use of a shallow dof, with superb sharpness. Well framed & composed. The intense yellow colour of the rose suits the theme. Is this the famed yellow rose of Texas? Tfs!

Hi Linda,
A fine capture of this wonderful yellow rose of Texas :-) Like the low light here, it creates a warm mood. The sharpness is spot on. A fine cheerful posting my dear!

Hi Linda,
I can almost smell the sweet fragrance of this rose. It reminds me of the many yellow roses we had along a fence when I was a child. It's just beautiful. The green background is nice and soft against the rose. Beautiful shadows showing the depth of the petals too.
I know you will have fun in New England with Tricia. I wish I was a fly on the wall!! hahahaha :) Lisa
