[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Every two years, in the town of Kingston, Ulster County, New York, there is a reenactment of the burning of the town on 16 October 1777 by the British in retaliation for their loss at Saratoga. This is a photo of the Colonist line valiantly defending the town. They lost (again). The re-enactor colonist militia are members of the 1st Ulster County Militia and other re-enactor organizations.
