This is an HDR image of the stream near our conference center this weekend. It was overcast, heavily wooded and about 4PM, so it was getting dark when I took this shot. I walked the stream after heavy rains and used trees to steady the camera against. I didn't bring my tripod to Arkansas.
Hope you all have a great day!

Linda

Hi Linda,
From the title- I was sure it was N.E (ha ha).. Really nice job on this especially with the low lighting and no tripod. I'm impressed. Great water flow and nice natural colors. TFS Julie

Nice scene Linda! - for me it is like hidden massage in this work because stream shows how everything is passing away according to colored leafs/autumn.
Good job my friend:):):)
Cheers - Tom

Hi Linda,
I impressed too by the well rendering of the water motion! What a great control you have! This is just enought to see the the fluidity of the flow and the bed of the river. I love the colors!
I took many shots at this hour lately, without tripod, I had to use a very high Iso to avoid the blur. I am just wondering what was the iso in your photo?
Beautifully done! Annie

Hello Linda,

You have achieved a fine result without your tripod. The water is flowing rapidly and splashing over the stones ... a still shot indeed!!!
Love the pov with the stream racing towards the viewer.
The arch of branches links the two banks, and the two sides of the shot, with autumnal colours and textures.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Linda,

Did you also slip over to Scotland during your trip, this is very like one of my local rivers, nice framing from the left and still some nice leaves hanging on.

Douglas

hi linda.
i was going to write something similar to douglas. ;-)
when i saw the thumbnail i had to look twice at the name.

a very nice woodland scene. great colours and the softening of the river is very 'caledonia'.
i bet douglas is jealous. i know i am.
hugs,
Brian

Hi Linda,
Your tree did a perfect jon in keeping you and your camera steady. The shutter speed gave you just that little movement in the water which made it come alive. The HDR is kept nicely natural except for the two air areas, but that is where the software got fooled. I like how those twigs in the front sort of forces you to view into the depth.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Linda,
You did well to get the leaves so sharp at 1/6sec and it doesn't look like an HDR which means that its well done. The exposure on the river is spot on - a great shot in difficult circumstances
cheers
Jack

Linda,

You got a very nice result out of bad conditions. HDR worked well for this shot, with the trees contrasting with moving water.
Well composed.
Congratulations,

Wellington

Hi Linda...your tones and light are great. This is a tougher shot with the polarizer...but the effect was well worth it...nice work.

Roger

Hi Linda!

Beautiful motion of the water! And again, as usually, very nice colours and details!

Regards,
Edward
