[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
North Vista Point in San Francisco, taken close to sunset. I liked the warm cold colour contrasts between the yellow red bg & blue sea, as well as the eyecatching light contrasts between the sunlit bg & shadowed fg. Taken from the Golden Gate Bridge, a small part of which can be seen in the bottom left corner. Alcatraz is over on the right, off frame.

"Experiencing the Golden Gate Bridge: Walk onto the Golden Gate Bridge if you can. You can't really appreciate the size and height unless you've walked on it, at least a little way. At mid-span you are 220 feet above the water's surface, and passing ships below look like small toys. The distance from one vista point to another is 1.7 miles a fun round trip if you're up to it, but even a short walk will be interesting. Pedestrians are allowed only on the east (city side) sidewalk, during daylight hours, and pets are not allowed for safety reasons."

Beautiful landscape with great colors and superb clarity, Chris!
The sharpness and POV are perfect with nice show of the blue greenish waters.
The sunlight falling on the part of the coastal area, looks superb here.

Bonjour Chris.
Moitié ombre, moitié soleil, la composition est originale, mais elle perd un peu de son attrait du fait que le rocher est dans la zone d’ombre. L’image est toute fois très intéressante et montre un beau paysage maritime. Félicitations.

Maybe the down left corner with that tringle is a bit distutbing but I love the mix of lighted/shadowed parts

Almost a painting with the soft color,
splendid part in the natural light shows the subject.

Hello Chris,

The gold from the setting sun makes a fine contrast with the cooler, shaded blues in the f/g.
I like how the curves of the beaches guide the eys around the shot, sampling the different areas, until finally reaching the distant island. At this point, the yacht comes into focus, nicely balancing the f/g rocks.

Marvelous shot Chris! Your eye is just lead around by the curve of the shoreline! This isn't easy shooting from shade to sunlight, but you managed the levels well here, keeping the details in the FG! Nice job!

I like your high POV and what it brought in the vista. The shadow and light effect is wonderful and gave you two completely different white balances. You managed both excellently. I like the curve of the shore line and how it guides the eye to the harbor.

The point of view takes my eyes toward the island which is giving depth to the composition. The light of the sunset is giving nice colors to the sky, the sea, the trees and a set of shadows to other areas. Well done, have a nice day.
