[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another shot from the Memphis Queen River Boat. We are north of downtown Memphis. The bridge, which is interstate 40 is fondly called by the locals the Dolly Parton bridge. It is not as sharp as I would have liked but the boat has some movement, this one was the best of several. Hope you enjoy the night time view of Memphis.

Very nicely done Jim! I was really drawn to the golden reflections in the water. The gentle curves of the bridge make a nice focal point for the composition. Even the hint of a glow from the downtown lights add a nice subtlety to the image. Good work!

Wow what color and detail! And from a moving boat at that! I don't see how it could have been any better on dry land. Memphis has a beautiful nighttime skyline from any angle.

Very lovely night shot, well balanced lighting and very well composed. Impressive bridge, I wish I could be on the river boat on a night like that!

Very beautiful composition and point of view. Your exposure is perfect. Did you use a tripod?

I noticed too that you are using one of the best cameras around. Have you tried wirelessly transferring photos to your laptop? Is it effecient?

This is a very sharp and clear photo Jim.
I like the colours and the reflections in the water.
The moon completes the romantic atmosphere of this photo.

Moon over Memphis. I have seen this same vision many times Jim but have never been able to capture it in this beautiful way. Thanks for showing me the ole Mississippi River again and a lovely view of the famous bridge. Feels like home.......:O)
