[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I've always been conscious of looks my entire life. I was going to photoshop this to take out some of my imperfections, but opted not to.

Here I am.

Dark circles under my eyes from late nights and little sleep. Hair on my shoulders and back. Things I don't like about myself.

However I have been losing weight lately and feel confidence growing within myself. I took this picture around 3am last weekend before going to bed. I was visiting friends in my hometown and reminiscing about growing up. Thinking about the past, present, and what my future might hold.

A serious shot of me I guess.

I like this picture of myself.

Print that out as big as you can and paste it on your roof above your bed! Congrat's on enjoying yourself enough to post a raw pic. Takes alot sometimes.

This a great Portrait Daniel,

you look so intense. You don't have a thing to worry about, Everyone sees themself in the worst way.:D Great job. I'm glad you didn't doctor it. It looks real!
Annetta

i like that shot of you too.. i'm glad you posted it like it is.. people tend to use photoshop too much in my opinion.. oh well... your eyes are captivating O.o i can't stop looking at them ... keep up the good work!

Hi Daniel,
Nice shot. It's good to see people taking unretouched images of themselves.
Nice close up with a tilt that breaks symmetry a little bit. There's a bit of a yellow cast, though. Yellow is interesting (I had a pic of myself with this cast..but more saturated). It's a color that can add a lot of anxiety...but, if it's done lightly like this, it can also make you look ill/tired. At 3 am, I guess this would be an appropriate feeling. Still, I did a ws where I tried to correct the color cast. You've got really nice eyes, but the yellow cast detracts from it. With corrected color, it really makes your eyes pop more. Very nice shot, regardless.
Take care!
Richard

Cool! Always nice to see the photographer behind the camera. I think everyone on this site should post at least one self portrait. :)

Anyway, a very serious self portrait for a very funny guy. (I read some of your blog entries.)

Very nice. Good for you for not touching up things you did not like too.

I had a little fun in photoshop making it look more serious. :) I hope you don't mind. I will post as a workshop. It is not a workshop where I am trying to tell you mine is better then yours!!! Just to show you another possibilty!
Great photo. JP

Take out your imperfections, do you want to be perfect?! Congratulations on facing your fears and welcome to the imperfect human race! Come on in, the water's fine. B

You're very brave, Daniel! I doubt that you will ever see an unretouched close-up of me on this website!!!!!

Don't worry about your looks. You've got great eyes, eyebrows and gorgeous lips - you're right purdy, as we say here in the South! (lol) As you get older, you'll find that your self-confidence increases. After a while, you just don't care what people think anymore! It's something to look forward to. ;)

Thanks for sharing a part of yourself with us. Take care.
Gayle

Hi Daniel , you are brave. In that time , of digital photos and PS , everybody wants to look prettier than they really are.I like the way you talk about reminiscences.
Photos is a choise to deal with the time. Thanks for sharing , Fernanda.

i think here you´ve found a great place to express your sensitive soul.
nice to see you here, nice to be here.

hey "bro"

and i don't have the guts to show them
more power to ya

maybe people won't notice the rest! LOL
i like the closing lines of your note - seriously

Hi Daniel,
you should look more to your other side ...
beautiful eyes and well formed eyebrows,
nice lips and well shaped nose ...
nice selfportrait.
Nino

Wonderful self portrait, Daniel...I like your intense look yet farway and thoughful. Beautiful eyes....you should have much self confidence.
I agree that each memeber should post a self portrait. The portrait itself tells us much about the person behind the camera. It helps us to get to know each other better. Later, Dude......:O)
