Hi Curtis... first of all i must thank you for your enthusiasm and participation!
I like this concept... torben and a new guy (sorry mate) did some pretty good... and this is equaly good.
IMO this is the best concept!
Regarding this particular version i think we are raising the level :) but i have two remarks:
1. I don't like the Trekearth lettering in front cover... i with that the standard letters would be place and not in top of the world map
2. just a minor aspect regarding the borden name, theres a mispelling in Photography word.
What do you think about the front lettering?

This version would be nice then the other "Black" colour background.
The color makes the concept strong & clear.
Well done!!

This is my personal opinion: I like Torben's idea but with three suggestions, as I wrote in my critique; one was to put the background in black and two; to add North/South America in the back of the cover and third: write out the mission statement, "Learning about the world through photography.."
So with yours, as you did the whole world map (back cover and front cover AND you added the mission statement), I think we could combine yours and his and come up with a cover that would satisfy me 100% because I am very much looking forward inpurchasing one. I would like to see a less busy cover (e.g. I'd like the black background and Torben's design (it's simple) for a nice coffee table book.
No offense at all with your design. You did great and worked well with color and design etc... I'm sure other viewers will love yours but I'd prefer simpler cover (as I said, combining Torbens work and yours).
Good work though..and thanks for the contribution.
