and believe that they're real !
congrats, good shot
v
at least you two are not side by side taking the same shot! :) perhaps, it would have been a good idea also if you were able to shoot a photo of one another while in the same place taking this pic. :)

Amazing! I actually saw some dancers like the one you captured in the photo in Times Square. Might have been the same guys! Excellent work on the B&W/color effect!

Fantastic - from the green on the sport shoes down to his shadow!!!
But what cheered me truly is that NYC spirit is fresh and intact :)
Great shot Daniel!!!
Compliments!
I just saw JP's version of this picture and I think both are really good as well as being a bit different showing your different style. You captured this guy very well and I like your lanscape format which gives us a better view of the crowd watching him while JP's version focus on the performer more. So the same action with two different views. Well done!
Daniel I like the action and how sharp and clear it is. I would change the crop so that he didn't end up in the center of the frame. Nice work. B

I kinda like yours a bit better because you did the B&W contrast to the red. ..But then again, um.. you stole his shot, JP's I mean...
Tomorrow I'll be in the city until late. I'm bringing my camera. email me if you are up to meet for a bit.
I have school until 4 and then I have some time to explore NYC. JP, you too... Anyone else?
I just saw JP's shot of this and now am here at yours. I enjoy seeing different sytles of the photographers here, and these two great photos are good examples. Both are excellent and I know the two of you must have had a good time. Good thing for TL members to meet I think...
I like the fact you highlighted the boy from the crowd, giving total empahsis in his (painful?) antics, yet I am intriqued with the crowd also... The poignant contrast of the lady in the wheelchair watching the youthful, agile performer is touching...I bet she is thinking...if I were only 18 again I'd be out there doing that right beside him...but I was touched by it and I am sure you know what I mean. Excellent post....:O)
Those breakdancers are so amazing, I could never dream of standing on my head this way. Your selective desaturation is awesome, did you use the lasso tool?
TFS,
Alli

Hi Daniel,
Indeed a nice idea from you and JP. And it ended up in great photos as well.
I like the way you did your PP. Worked really nicely.
Congrats! Hope you 2 can make it again soon, then we can have more coordinated shots ;)
Take care, stef

Good timing, i also like how you were able to use the desaturation to bring out the subject with out just erasing the crowd since they are part of the scene.. Nice Job

interesting PP you've done here. when you and JP postet these images they made me smile because of the idea to meet, shoot and post simultaneusly.
regards
martin
I am just an ametuer photographer but when I saw this photo it caught my eye stright away. I think I have a weakness were certain parts are B&W and then you make the focus of the picture stand out in colour.
I don't know how you do that in Photoshop but in time I will learn and it will be something I would really like to know how to do.
Anyway, this photo is amazing, I love the fact his trousers are red and just really make the centre of this photograph stand out.
Well done Daniel and thanks for sharing.
Russell.
