[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A weekend in New Orleans. Pretty girls, good music, lots of booze, and a wedding ring.

Image cropped, levels adjusted, layers duplicated, and top level desaturated. Then I erased her necklace, his ring, and the shooter tubes. Finally I adjusted the contrast.

Good use of post processing, in highlighting the necklace, shooter tube & wedding ring, it all works very well.

I'm not sure if you're deliberately trying to make a point regarding the wedding ring! It's a good shot, I'll admit that initially I was drawn to the girl's cleavage...but after looking at it some more & taking note of how you changed the image then I can certainly appreciate the good work done here.

I think New Orleans is one place you can expect behavior like this even from married men, it's a crazzzy city.

Nice work with the B&W color mix. Good choice obviously with the ring but bringing back the color of the necklace definitely adds something extra to the composition. Nice work.

ahah i love this guys trying to write smarth things about the photo just to justify their visit LOL

Yes.. nice PP work, i love the POV and the DOF here, nice colours and contrasts. I think you should have croped larger...

... I WAS DRAWN BY THE TOP :P kidding, but your PP work is fine :P

A picture with a very good POV and composition. I like your PP work, very nicely done. But what is he doing?

Although it is titled as "the wedding ring" and some pp work was done, the man's action was obviously still the interesting point of the picture. It's satirized. Well done.

Interesting PP Work! Good POV!!

Hi Glen.
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
What happens in New Orleans ends up on the interenet! ;) *Kidding*
Very stong picture here. By the title I assume it's not his wife. LOL It certainly tells a story, I like that.

Glen,

Been there, done that, awesome shot, great pp work.

TFS - and here is hoping the people of New Orleans survive well after Katrina.

Hi Glen,
Nice selective coloring! It's interesting, the jewelry...not only does your friend have a wedding band on. But, the lady he's sucking the drink out of...she's got a heart pendant on. This pic seems to say a lot about both sides. Well seen! Take care!

funny photo.

maybe that's his wife...

Excellent POV, great use of colors on the contrast of the B&w

Glen,
WOW! Nice coloring. It says what is REALLY happening in this picture. One person said, "maybe that's his wife..." Since he is on the web with his face buried in an awesome rack, we all hope so!
Keep shooting,
Aaron

The mystery of it all and your PP work enhancing that... so come on is New Orleans so loose and enjoyable... whisper it in my email... ;)

"loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together"
Hmm, this seems to be what was called as "..good times.." I think. His wife should support him, in such good times also :))

Brings up a smile, Glen, so good job and tfs tech info. Peter

Good photo I think you should have just done the ring and necklaces not the other things, or done full color.

WOW, talk about different attitudes in different countries. This would be a cause for me to consider a divorce, or as is now, cancelation of the wedding...if it would not be me that is. Perhaps she is his wife :-) He would so have to go home to his mum and dad for the next month. Are you susr it is such a smart thing to put this out on the internet ;-)Pretty good shot though Glen. Raises attention and questions. It also handles a moral dilemma...are these things ok when you are on a guys night out or not...if you are in a commited relation that is...

Great candid shot! Nice choice of elements to color.
Cheers!

Funny.... great choice of colour as the wedding band really comes out alive. I don't think some of the readers here got the point. Some are even questioning your moral?.... give me a break. What if this girl was his wife? Is that still inmmoral?

As you said to Peter1892, this man's wife was present and she was cool with it, this translates to a secure relationship, and a solid one where she is NOT going to divorce her husband for such a horrific act...!!!

Photography is an art... at times we have to deal with other opinions, and give credit to those who deserve it. Just because you chose to exhibit this photo does not mean you condone this type of behaviour.

So what if you chose to show a married guy drinking out of some girl's chest. Is that inmoral on your part? heck, no. You are just the avenue to transmit the message a photographer. Let the viewer figure out what ever type of message he/she want to withdraw from it.

Absolutely needless comment by ZTO.... and I had to say something about it. I do not see it that way, and I do not think your photo said anything different, or suggested you were doing this at Mardi Grass.
