[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a picture of my friend Stephanie on her wedding day. I took all the pictures for her on her special day.
She was going for that Grace Kelly look around the late 30's early 40's era, I think she pulled it off nicely, quite classy don't you think?.

WOW, you are brave Dave. I don't think i would have the guts to be the sole photographer at my friends wedding, or any other for that matter. That alone render 2 points from me ;)

I must say, you seem to have pulled it off vrey well. Ther eis a very romantic feeling over this photo, and her ahppines really shows in her eyes. You did a splendid job Dave.

Great portrait, Dave. The B/W fits the style perfectly, light is good but strong, and casts a bit of shadow under Stephanie's nose.
Maybe you could have prevented this by using a wrinkled newspaper page or so, to reflect some diffuse light on her face...

Well done, and you're very courageous indeed, as Zandra pointed out. At my wedding we took no chances: we had 5 photographers, all family and all amateurs... and, I have to admit, they had only very few bad photos.

Way to go Dave! You did an awesome job on this photo. Hope they all turned out as good as this one. God's best, Tim

Well you can tell your friend that the Kelly look was a success. And you rendered it quite well too. Excellent choice of B&W. Love the shine on her lips.

Well done Dave, firstly, as 'Z' says, being the one taking all the pictures deserves praise, I don't have the guts for that!

I think she achieved what she set out to do, and with very convincing results I might add, as for the image I think you did an equally great job in capturing her, the compo is great, and the B&W is excellent!
Well done Dave, and thanks for sharing it with us.

Hmmm, disagree a bit on others critiques: you didn´t need to have the guts to be the photographer...your friend was the one who had it for invite you.. ;)))) Hehehe..just kidding DAve :) My honest opinion is that this is a GREAT portrait with great control of the light cause it seems to me that the light was a bit harsh but you controled it superbly...her expression makes the rest of the job :) Great capture!

beautiful portrait..she does not only give the feeling of Grace Kelly period, your light and treatment does that too perfectly..very strong light and still no overexposure, from best times and directors of bw films...excellant..and please tell your friend my best wishes in her new life..and that she is beautiful :)

great portrait, perfect light. the angle and her gaze past you really makes this work. I think when people don't look at the camera its easy to study the face, just as in real life?!
The curls and the some of the jewellery make me think of the 1920s. Great stuff, post some more some time.

Magnifique portrait, she is beautifull... I would like to see that portrait in color, but it is also well done in grayscale.
Bravo Davian..
