In receiving such positive feedback about cadillac girls (mostly from friends outside the TL community that really loved that shot). I wanted to try another picture involving a car.

This is my friend who lives a few blocks away from me. We were walking around when I saw this scene and realized it would be perfect with her standing in front of it, especially with her green shirt.

The title could have been "Chrysler Girl" but that just doesn't have the same ring as "Cadillac Girls" though my title here works, at least for me.

Tech Notes: Radial blur using the zoom option. I copied and pasted over the original and then brought back the two main subjects using the eraser tool. Also kept the lamp post in because it had a little bit of graf on the bottom.. adding a dash of the Brooklyn flavor ;)

Great composition Daniel!
You've done a great job, i like the sensation of movement, and the good combination of the girl's shirt and the car's colour.
Maybe i'll not include the post, but for other side it gives a point of interest.
Congratulations!
Regards,
Roberto

Yes, great idea with green colors. Nice composition, I like it!
Regards,

Lukas.

Nice sense of action Daniel! I always like the radial blur. I like the fact that the car is a bit tilted to one side. It increases the sense of motion. I made a similar work with a cyclo in Phnom Penh which I'll be posting tomorrow.
Good job!

Kind of an unusual shot, Daniel! I really like your composition; I think it's well thought of. The girl, the car, the lampost. The radial blur completes the scene very well. Excellent!

partner look

Perfect composition. Beautiful green is not bad. Fantastic

that's pretty cool! I usually HATE when people use the photoshop radial blur thing but in this case I think it looks great. I think the lighting in the background helps for some reason. Great photo. Nicely seen. JP

Hi Daniel,
Interesting shot. I do like the green on green subject. The zoom blue is neat. Oddly, it almost looks like the car is going to run your friend down, and I'd expect an expression of fear on her face, but, I guess you can say she's blissfully ignorant about what looks like what's going to happen. Not quite sure about the lampost though I know you kept it because of the graffiti. The blur is so strong that even though there's a NY license plate on the car, your subjects lose a sense of place, so, not sure if the graffiti is added a dash of Brooklyn or if it's just any other town with graffiti, just seems like a distraction from the green on green, in my opinion. Still, it's a creative shot. And well seen on your part.
Take care.
Richard
