I work downtown in the area where all of the main courts are in New York City.

Law and Order, the television series shoots down there as well. There are many scenes if you watch the show, where the cast is seen walking on the court steps which are right near where I work.

They were shooting a scene involving two of the main characters played by Fred Thompson and Sam Waterston.

The crew would only allow me to get so close which is why this shot seems so far away. I zoomed in to the max (70mm) on my camera but this was the closest I could get. This was the best shot of the bunch, showing them walking and speaking their lines with the camera slowing being pulled on a dolly behind them.

Hi Daniel,
Nice shot. It's a cool look of behind the scenes of Law and Order! There's so many elements in this frame...very busy. But, I think it's handled okay. There's just that sliver of a tree to the left and that one in the middle that bugs me a little, but, other than that pretty good. I know how "event" photography can be and it's a quick shoot and setup to get the shot, so, there's not as much think time for best results. Anyhow, good b&w...very nice tones. And the frame goes well. Good job.
Take care.
Richard

I agrre with Richard - this shot has real interest and is a great capture 'on the fly'. The B&W rendition if very appropriate.

I agree it's interesting to see the behind aspect of this shot. The light post is a bit distracting, but then again it divides the photo with the crew to the left and cast to the right so maybe appropriate. The contrasts are really good to.

I love Law and Order! That is cool. My eyes were actually drawn to the man in the white t-shirt first, then the camera, then the street and then the actors but I still think it is a cool shot because it is a rare thing to see. Nice job. JP
