Not sure what game this is but it's often played in Chinatown by men, usually in a park area on a bench or table.

This was an impromptu game on a main street near where I work. Both competitors were deeply engaged in their battle that they didn't even notice me taking this shot from like 2 feet away.

Tech Notes: Small crop, convert to B&W and sharpened once.

Daniel,

Great composition to turn to b&w, nice shot that shows the concentration of the players.

Daniel,

I like the photo showing this scene, the b&w makes the photo.

Ronnie

nice relaxed atmosphere on this one. You caught the guy at a great moment with his fingure on the game piece. Nice job. JP

Great capture, Daniel ! They are so engrossed in their game, nothing else matters at this instant.

Good choice for b/w

Marleen

A really nice composition, as you say they are intently focused on the game. Good contrasts over most of the image, but the bright white corner is a bit distracting.

Hi Daniel,
Nice shot. Good composition. But, your exposure looks a little too long. The brighter areas seem burned out, like that top right corner and the center of the checker(?)board. Anyhow, glad to see you got up close. It really lets us see how focused these two guys are in their game. Good job.
Take care.
Richard
