[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The county in which I live held it's Cross Country Championships today in Oakwood, Georgia.

My oldest son Jared runs Cross Country for his high school team and I was able to get to the event before he ran. As the girls ran before the boys, I was took this wonderful shot of color and determination during the start.

My son's high school girl's team actually won this event.

No doubt about the concentration, these girls look like they are giving their all.

Nice capture, TFS.

You captured the moment really well and it is true that it is full of colours. I like your choice of elongated format to focus our attention on the girls. It really provides a sense of the girls' concentration as they get started on this run. It also brings back lots of memory as I remember every year we ran a cross-country event at the beginning of the school year. Well done!!!

Greg,

This is a nice shot of the starting line, nice composition.

Nice shot, Greg! Very good use of the wide format. The TL format doesn't help here, but I'm sure a large format would bring even more clarity. TFS!

Good panoramic shot Greg with lots of action. Way to go girls!

I like the elongated format...filled with so much of colour and action. Very well captured. TFs

Greg,
Nice photo. The color change as the eyes move across the shot is cool. Almost like a rainbow.

Sidebar: it's funny to see how some are in perfect form and others are already breaking stride and losing focus even though the race just started.

Keep shooting,
Aaron

Hi Greg,
The panoramic crop is a good idea here : it gives dynamics to this colourful flood of women running to the victory. A nice sport shot, Greg. Well done!
Martine

a crowd of running girlies...the movie style gives the whole thing a kind of abstractness. nicely captured! :-)

Hello Greg, it is so full of colour and you captured the determination perfectly. There are 2 things which I particularly love about this photo: running (which is a passion of mine) and the clour green (that works so well in the FG and BG).
Well Done,

Shelly:))

This is funny

Great panoramic, Greg! I see you haven't been posting much either lately, what's going on?

Always enjoy your jokes, yours are always the best, LOL!

A nice pano and good contribution to the theme, Greg. You had a lot to fit in, but you did it pretty well, capturing that long, colorful line. Sorry to be so late in seeing this. This would have been a good one for a Large Post, too.

Regards,
Jim
