[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is my friend Karen at a Sushi bar we were hanging out at last weekend in the East Village.

She is the girlfriend of my friend Adnan, who is seen throwing her a smile from the lower left.

The lighting here is not from PP work. I used a slow shutter speed with no flash. The bright red neon lights therefore filled in the shot for a cool effect.

i'd say it's a cool shot
but red's not cool - it's hot
the bits of blue lights up top are a nice touch
i sound incoherent...maybe it's from being in a bar...whatever...

Hi Daniel.

Pretty cool effect. I like the red a lot. And the small blue lights counerbalance well all the "redness".
I just think that the scene itself is a bit too crowd. That's too much information to be seen and together with all the red, that is a pretty intense colour, seem to make the image a bit heavy. Hope you don't mind me saying that...

Good work anyway.
