Japanese Village Plaza

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is the Japanese Village Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. I designed this project when I was an architect for David Hyun, Architect. It was a re-development work for the City of Los Angeles. I also did this architectural illustration. This is the final scheme of that project. The medium is acrylic, painted on cold press illustration board, on 42" x 22" (approximately). This photo was scanned from an old print so there is no ECIF available. I won for the office an American Institute of Architects' Award for Excellence in Design. An actual photo of the project is shown in the Workshop.
PP Work: Scanned print on HP4750 scanner; Adjusted levels control; Increase saturation; Sharpen; Remove noise; Crop; Frame; Reduce size for posting. |

And rightfully so for being chosen for the Award for Excellence in Design.
Andre, Architecture was my first love for a career and I actually ended more in the fine arts are and then digital media. I respect this talent to an extreme and always love seeing architectural renderings or illustrations. This is really nice Andre.

Congratulations Andre!
A small anecdote on myself: I wanted to be an architect too when I was young...to dream and build something and really see it in the flesh.
A very nice retrospect on ur beautiful career. I like it! The workshop photo doesn't seem to load and I'm in a rush, so I'll have a look later. TFS
BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO !
This is indeed a very nice achievement. Very original . To build a project like this in America.
Jobs well done .
The Artwork, the Award and the whole project.
Cheers!
Robert
Amazing Andre, I had no idea you were so doubly talented!! Not only is the design you show here so successful but so is the actual project shown in your workshop! Congratulations on your award, you should be very proud!
It's not easy to photograph something like this and you did a beautiful job there as well.
Bravo!
