Well, pics of pretty roses with water droplets on their petals come by the dozen -- not only on postcards but also on TL.

This time, you have shown how this type of shot has to be done to unmisteakably stand out of the crowd.

Original crop, good simple frame, beautiful color, soft yet sharp focus (which fits the flower's natural texture just right), with just enough depth of field (to give it body, as it were)... And a witty, funny, original title to top it up!

Has to go to my favs section for all these reasons.

The only down side is that you have not (yet) given us a note on how you did it. :)

Wow, your close-up is superb, Ekaterina !
The multitude of droplets on these pink petals gives a refresh effect to your shot. I agree with Antonio when he says that it looks like an ice-cream :)
It's a really pleasant image.

Wonderful & creative macro of this beautiful rose and your note is so funny. Did you really pour a bucket of water over this rose...you must still be mopping the floor!!! The colour, sharpness, droplets, tight composition; everything is just perfect. Excellent!

Wow, superb shot! The idea of combining the droplets and petals in one frame was obviously great and result is definitely stunning. I think water drops and flowers match each other as diamonds and velvet but diamonds could never look so precious :) Really, splendid view. Congrats!

What a wonderful effect. I had not thought of adding droplets. I wonder did you also use a ring type flash to work in the macro mode for the very well done lighting. Beautiful rose. TFS

This is a great close-up, I'm amazed that you didn't photo-shop this image (besides the frame.) I'm very impressed, and pleased because I sometimes feel that photo-shopping an image removes some of it's realness, and true beauty. All in all a fetching photo, well worth being my computer background. :)

Of course, I could repeat the same message to all your photos. Jaw breaking, as your images are simply stunning.

Perhaps, you are more using a vaporisator to avoid damaging these tender flowers.

Another shot, that I thought deserved my critique! The colour here seems to be so surreal that at first I thought that this could not be a flower because it's just so perfect and beautiful! The drops of water, really help to create the balance between the lines and folds of the rose!
