It is a well proven fact now that many here on TL know the details of the old classic cars. My beloved convertible is a 1966 White with red interier, vintage Mustang. Everything is original on this car except for the radio. And I can promise you that it will still pass that 140 on the speedo....Thanks for making the last few post so much fun for me and a special thanks for your participation.

This was a difficult "self portrait" and to include a different angle of my car. I set the tripod on the trunk to "shoot down" and it took many times to get the focus correct.(or is it yet????) ..I tried both timer mode and remote. In processing I also wanted a different feel, so over processed a bit and used NI and have hopefully given it a softer feeling than would normally be seen in a traditional shot of a car.

Thanks again for joining in the fun and you know I love to get comments from ya'll! Keep Smiling.

Oh, sweet! The late 60's Mustangs are so neat. Nice portrait - I like the high contrast. It gives it a vintage feel (not that YOU are vintage of course, LOL!).

I remember so well when I was young seeing the new 66 mustangs, WOW! I love the car and this is well composed image. It has just enough softness to give a dreamy feeling, like riding down the highway with the wind blowing in your hair. Good idea and well done Kathleen.

Now we all know! Which us the nmost intriguing, the car or the driver? I vote for the latter. A very well done self portrait. BTW, are you old enough to vote?

Well I had been waiting a long time for this one, Kathleen. Not the car I mean, I knew which one it is because I remembered you mentioning it in one of your critiques. I mean a portrait of you without your camera ;o). Long live the tripod!
I really like the way you pose, you and your car. I think the overprocessing works for the background, but to me it is disturbing on your hands. It looks a bit as if you're wearing surgical gloves.
Btw, how many times have you been fined driving more than 140 mph?

I know this car,Sevgili Kat.;-).Regards.Seref.

Self-portraits are often very difficult, you never see "where you are" in the picture...
The picture is nice, the good contrast with the old car is a fine combination !

I knew that it was a red interior by the reflections and that it just had to be a convertible, as they instill the most passion. I had figured a 65-66 for the model year.
In the future, could you get just a little more leg in the shot? LOL
Fun one!

Beautiful self portrait in a beautiful car. The way you over exposed the area around the car puts all the emphasis on you and the interior of the car, thanks for sharing.

Very nice picture. The mustang is o.k. , but Kathleen you are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing

Ah, yes the Mustang. I have owned a 1964 , Vinyl roof hardtop (yellow) and a 1967 Convertible (Blue) brand new Mustangs. They used to sell for under $3,000 back then. This is a very clever capture, and a very provocitive (and lovely) self portrait. Well done.

Excellent self portrait. I like the way you masked the background. Unusual view. Great legs by the way, well I know I can only see one leg but I'm just assuming the second is just as lovely as the first.

Kathleen, this is fantastic. Your pose is great and really suits a car shot. It must have taken a long time to compose this, and your efforts have truly paid off. Well done. The post processing is remarkable. How did you achieve the white background? I especially like the splashes of colour in the side view mirror.
I'd love a car like this.

Bravo....superbe!!!!
Amicallement, Claude
