In my native country it is customary to set a nativity scene during Christmas. These figurines belonged to my parents and were bought in 1964 (made in Italy bought in Portugal, this year siplayed in California). The Christmas tree belived to be an ancient tradition from the Northern Europe,my maternal grandfather was German and always hung tnagerines on his tree I continued this tradition reminds me of him (and i love tangerines) and it's fun to puck one out of the tree and have a treat. My paternal grandmohter was French and in the nativity scene she alwys dipalyed some of her jewelery (giving he best wealth to the new born Child)here it is just some rhinestone strands. The stones were brought from the beach in the Azores when I was last there in 2004.
With this I continue tradition and honor my heritage, and take the oportunity to wish the World a wonderfull and Peacefull season.
The original is much sharper but due to the size reduction a a bit of hurried and sloppy work it looks a little bad. |

Beautiful Christmas artwork. have a lovely christmas.
Hi Cristine, a very nice X-Mas composition that makes a very nice seasons card. Your wishes are even better. What I like the most is the details in your note. What a treasure to have, and the story shows a lot of love and respect.
A very nice Christmas to you, Richard
Hi Cristina
No critique this time. As Christmas Day in New Zealand is nearing an end, I would like to wish you a very safe New Year.
Lovely scene with all the Nativity figures and traditional objects. In my home country, England, a tangerine was put in each child's stocking along with a few nuts in their shells (in my case it was one of my dad's socks). It was the biggest treat for me to receive this piece of fruit. Our stockings were put at the end of the bed, but here in Canada they are hung on the fireplace. Thanks for telling us about your traditions Cristine as I like to learn stuff like that. Today I think I will put a tangerine on my tree and think of you all day, then eat it just before I go to bed tonight. Thanks for this new tradition which I'd like to keep forever.
Merry Christmas to you and your husband.
Diana
I wish you all the verty best too, this brings back memories, well done, thanx, M, (*_*)
Greetings Cristina!
Glad to see you are back on line and you are posting photos again.
Thank you for your patience. I am also back on line after a few busy weeks on the docks. I am now enjoying three days off before attending to another ship on Tuesday 350kms away further North. But I will post critiques almost daily. Be aware! And I will try to post a few shots too.
Thank you too for your kind comment on my Santa and me .
I wish you all the best for 2006.
Cheers!
Robert
