Nice simple slice-of life and you know already that I'm gonna say I like the placement of the man ...
In all honesty though I would have liked this more in a vertical frame, cropped to remove the red newspaper vendor (it's distracting) and maybe going only as far as the tree. (I realise that eliminates the source of your title - but I think the 'portrait' is powerful enough to carry this shot.)
