There is always something always very evocative to me about the combination of leaves and water and with fallen leaves on and under the stream.

I'm very new to this level of processing so all thoughts are very welcome.

Processing:
• Duplicated the image into two layers.
• Did some saturation on the background layer ..
• On the foreground layer did a Channel Mixer conversion to Black and White and a Gaussian Blur ..
• Used a layer mask to show the leaves through ..

What a great composition! I rarely saw a good mix of nature present in color and B&W like that!
It give me good vibration :) It's of a grat harmony... I presume you have a great sensibility... Cause it's most that aspect on the disposition most then the contrast itself... Hard to by precise why :)

Interesting and detailed PP work. outstanding quality on the leaves - color and clarity is beautiful. The only negative in my opinion is the jumple of twigs that you turned to B&W. They are a distraction.
