A shot of the back of a flower is kind of like a portrait of the back of somebody's head, wouldn't you think? That doesn't mean it shouldn't be done, but it is certainly a unique and unconventional approach.
It directs attention to the outer edges of the petals in my opinion, and in quite a pleasant way. As an experiment I like its boldness - congratulations and keep shooting!
