[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this last New Year's Day, and of course what lead my eye was the tire tracks in the fresh snow. We are having some freakish cool weather here in Texas for August. I was traveling home yesterday from Fort Worth and the temp was 72F at 8:00PM...normally on an August evening you can expect the temps to still be 90+. So I'm grateful.

I got Shelby partcially moved yesterday and I think it hit her hard when we got home that this is real. This isn't playtime! So I think we will both go through a depression of sorts!

So anywho, I converted this from RAW, converted to a sepia, added a vignetting around the pic. It will just take time to get through this......
Have a great day!
Linda

Hi Linda,
This is a very moody image and I can understand your choice !
The tire tracks have a great visual impact, indeed!
I like much your sepia conversion enhancing the departure mood! Bravo! Annie

hi linda, this has a neat old fashioned feel, this could of been taken 30 years ago, i love the vignetting you often do,
72 at 8pm thats a heat wave for us!

i will never forget when i went to dallas, then over to nashville, the heat was sickening, i dont think i would ever get use to that!
here we say "do you have air conditioning?"
there they say "what do you mean you dont have air conditioning, are you nuts?"

hi linda.
i'm now suffering from Seasonally Adjusted Disorder after looking at this pic. it's quite warm today and your posting a pic with snow!!!!!!!
apart from that, this is a very nicely composed shot. the tracks leading you into the photo are a nice touch.

Hi Linda,

I like the lead in tire tracks too. Had this been in Georgia the tracks would have been "ALL OVER THE ROAD" LOL!!! This has certainly cooled me off as it's hot and humid today.

Lisa :D

Hello Linda

brrrr don't remind me about winter it doesn't feel like summer has even started here yet.

Superb shot though, i agree the tyre tracks really draw the eye into the image and I love your choice of tones here too, great sharp detail and all in all a lovely view.... all be it a cold one lol

Hi Linda

Always good to see snowy images on hot, humid days. A superb tonal range with good sharpness & graphism in this marvelous b&w image. The tyre tracks add good lead in lines. Tfs!

A 25 mile drive and I could probably find scenes like this today Linda. Well composed and converted with fine detail throughout,
David
