I JUST LOVE THIS! I really love night shots and this is amazing! And I got a laugh out of the sign Guess Age Weight! I'm staying AWAY from that booth for sure! Excellent colors here! Really perfect exposure for nighttime!

They look like automatons Silke, they look the same the world over.

Great busy nighttime shot, the neon lights shine like a beacon in the darkness.

Great colorful night shot Silke. Those faces are kind of scary.
Nice quality for 1600, I like that you were able to take a fast shutter due to the high ISO.
Everything is nice and clear.

A Iso 1600 is not easy for a clear rendering. You did that so well!Beautiful night fairy photo with beautiful play of dark and lit zones. Very interesting work!

Hi Silke,looks like they have had a tiring day & would prefer being an active participant at the fair, rather than stuck behind a food booth.You should send all your images to whom ever selects material for advertising this event,as you have caught the essence of it.Your imasges would make me want to visit this exhibition.

Hi Silke,
I like those shots were there is a lot to see. But I like it even more when your eyes are naturally drawn to the light. Here the people are present but not claiming much attention. It all directed to the signs and the neon light. The only two people that you do see well are the two very bored girls not selling the cotton candy.

Fantastic shot . . I did not notice grainy on this image, eventhough you set high ISO 1600 . .
I can't imagine the D70s has this capability . .

i love cotton candy.. but i can only finished one.. the two girls inside the booth looks bored probably they cannot wait to finished their shift.. (maybe just maybe) i love funfair but the only thing that i don't like about it the clowns.. scared of it.. :) good capture though even it is dark, Silke.. tfs..

Hello Silke,

Yes, this is a shot of contrasts; the bright lights appear out of the surrounding gloom, the people facing the light are illuminated whilst the rest are in shadow and, as you say, there is much jolity, except for the assistants! You have captured the mood well.

Cotton Candy is my favourite "fair food". Only we call it Candy Floss.
Yes, the expressions of the 2 ladies are priceless - WE had to work tonight - WE didn't want to, and you can't make us smile!!
