Gas Prices (EU = Petrol Prices)
This was the gas price at most of the gas stations in Toronto in mid August. This was the first time I had seen it getting close to a buck from their average price of around 70-75 cents/litre. (yeah I know it was way too cheap as compared to what people pay in Europe)

I was curious of how the gas station owners with signs that can show less than a dollar value only were going to cope with them if the gas rose higher than a buck but all they did was to stop showing the prices. I was kind of disappointed as I wanted to see some cardboard "1's" pasted on the sign.
About one third gas station in Toronto have signs that can only prices only less than a buck.

Anywyas this photo is probably for the history books of the future just to show how cheap the petrol/gas prices used to be. btw the price had risen to as high as $1.45/litre around Katrina time.

The desolate road probably compliments the high gas price. Your comments and gas prices in rest of the world would be welcome

Thanks,

I think this is a great image of what we are experiencing world wide, I was hoping to get to home from travels and actually take this same image in the Atlanta, Georiga area where directly after Katrina some gas stations were charging > $5 per gallon.
