This little beast looks nasty, but its body is only about 1cm long. They build webs between gaps in trees and bushes, where I tend to walk and I have been surprised a few times by them.

Managed to get in close to ensure the background was out of focus and non-distracting. pp= crop, -brightness / +contrast / +saturation, resize, sharpen edges.
