Update 23 June: Some commented on the yellow overtone of the image. I agree. On the other hand, it very much depends on the monitor one is using: an LCD one will make it look horrible, while an old one, such as the one I used here, makes it look warm....

Thank you for the subject, Helen! I had been waiting for an occasion to upload this little still life from my kitchen. The image is certainly not perfect - you can see where grapes have been picked, and it is not 100% sharp. However, I liked the mood and therefore decided to leave it as it is. The light from our kitchen lamps was re-inforced by the candle we light for dinner every evening. I used the table for a tripod.

the gentle light here makes for a wonderful painterly effect -- a Dutch Old Masters feeling -- great work

Hi Cordelia. Lovely golden tones and well composed. I quite like the 'picked' stems and the softness of the image. Another workshop and TFS,
David

Cordelia Gee,
woderful shot that seems more a painting than a camera shot but the light you have used is too much yellow and is not making a good effect on the subject, you could adjust the WB and could get a more better result. This is just my opinion other wise your effort is great.

Hello Cordelia, sorry to read that you have had a back problem, hope it is improving now.
There is a really warm glow from your shot but no Oe.
The colours stand out.Good POV.
I like that it isn't a perfect bowl of fruit, just a bowl that could be found in any home.[I mean the missing grapes, of course.]
Tfs, regards Jean.
