[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It is ANZAC day in Australia which is a very special day for Australians, some might say it is the most important day in Australia's calander. It was on this day in 1915 that the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed at Gallipoli and forged a legend that lives to this day.

In the national War Memorial in Canberra numerous memorial services are conducted to remember and reflect on the sacrifices made by many Australians in the persuit of the freedoms of Australia and its allies. This hall in particular is the tomb of Australia's unknown soldier and is a very solemn place within the memorial. A place that is perfect to reflect on the horrors of war and to hope that peace shall prevail. Hence I thought a most appropriate entry for the scavenger hunt.

As an aside the walls of this room are entirely made up of small tiles (about 1-2cm in length), and is topped by a copper dome. Lighting is entirely natural and quite dim. Also it took a lot of patience to get this photo as the War Memorial was a very popular place to visit this day and many times people walked into the frame before I had a chance to capture the image.

PP= rotate, crop, adjusted brightness/contrast, resize, sharpen edges.
