Critiques [Translate]

I think this is very well composed, but it's far too dark. I don't see any tones brighter than 18% gray or so, which makes for very muddy highlights. My monitor calibration checks out with the 0-F scale at the bottom of the page, so I know it's not me. Is there a reason it's this dark?

If it is meant to be dark then ok but I would like to see some more whites. the histogram showed no good peaks in the tonal values at all and could not alter the photo in a workshop.
