[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was walking around a non-descript pond at sunset when the colours grabbed me. I tried a few photos of the sunset but my camera wouldn't do it justice. Then the ducks got brave (realising I wasn't a threat I would like to think) and one came quite close. Then I focus on the reflected sunset with silhouettes to add interest. Much better.

pp: rotate, add border, resize. I tried increasing the brightness but it washed out and contrast adjustments wouldn't help, so I'm hoping it's not too dark.

Just a perfect silhouette. Great colors and love the effect given by the plants in the fore ground.

Hello Stephen,
I know what you mean about the camera failing to do a scene justice, but I think this has worked very well. The reflected sunlight rippling on the water is a strong image.
I like the silhouettes of the trees and the prominent duck. I think I might have cloned out the duck in the b/g so as not to detract from the main focus. Still, a fine shot.

A simple but very effective photo. Th eplay of the light on the water and the silhouettes in the FG make this very pleasent.

I like it a lot... just because it inspires me calm...peace...all is quiet...i imagine some monotone sounds made by the water and the birds. Nice colors and details on foreground.
