[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Like many indigenous people the world over, Australia's aboriginal dancers have that powerful capacity to express themselves artistically which most of us lack. I have always admired them for it. This dancer and his friends were enacting a kangaroo hunt and, as you may be able to imagine, did so in a most convincing and entertaining manner.

This is a reload of yesterday's photo which I deleted soon after posting it. Encouraged by the critique from fellow Treklenser "chrysalis" I reworked it, mainly by eliminating distracting lights from the BG. Here is the result.

PP: Cropped slightly, edited out lights in background, sharpened slightly, framed, signed, and re-sized

The following parameters are due to the automatic setting of my camera:
Speed 1/40, F-stop 3.6, ISO 80
The camera was handheld.

Hello mCordelia,

You have captured the very essence of dance here. The movement, the passion, the vitality ... they all ooze from the shot!
A wonderful moment!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Cordelia

Lovely shot here of the Aboriginal dancers!
Well captured

Tracey

Hallo Cordelia,

Much, much better than the previous one. I think you succeeded in isolating the subject (the lady in the background adds depth - she's not distracting at all). A great effort!

Rarely seen Cordelia,a picture of the aboriginals, when I was in OZ in 85 for 6 months,I spoke for 10 minutes in a dark, remote busstop in Geralton(WA)with a friendly old aboriginal gentleman, the only time in my life......
