| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Lake Macquarie is a very large water way located between Sydney and Newcastle.
On a visit to the area in 2003 I spotted these 4 ducks going around in circles on the water. If you look closely at the photo you will see the ripples of their efforts to follow one another around and around. To show how wide the ripples have spread I resisted the temptation to crop.
The photo has been framed and resized for TL but otherwise untouched. |

I like the way you show the ripples in the photo. The water is clear and you can see their feet in the water. Looking into the sun you missed the opportunity to show their eyes and the heads became a dark blob. I would have liked sharper focus but then again, you cannot have everything I guess.

Hi Robert,
I think you should put in bold lettering that your PP work is minimal but then I am convinced that not many read the notes anyway.
Fine composition regardless of the bright light. Good colours, clear waters and lovely ripples. TFS,
David
PS Many thanks for your comment on Sclerophyll
I love the colour of the water here, and the transparency of it so that we can see the duck's feet below the surface. It has an unusual lighting effect like a glow on the water, but the ducks are a little dark. I like the motion shown in the ripples of the water also. Nicely done.
Thanks for visiting my photo.
Cheers Joan
Robert, excellent sharpness and colors, beautiful composition and frame, as usual...
