It's not often a bird or animal presents itself unexpected and then sits around waiting for you to photograph it,thats just what this little fellow did, he gave me time to compose the shot and get the settings I wanted,how considerate of him/her. :o)

Not only did it (New Holland Honey Eater) pose for you but it also provided some nice colour by stopping at the Grevillea flower. Well composed shot with sharp detail.

Hi Steve.
We're nearly neighbours in the gallery tonight, and both with bird shots. This one's so colourful and your photo is very sharp. You seem to have had very good light, slightly duller than it has been down here by the look of it. The colours are rendered superbly. I wonder what type of bird it is. Ah, I see Tezza has answered that question! Great work.
