[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was fortunate enough to get this pic while holidaying recently in Thailand. We visited the "Tiger Temple" at a Buddhist Monastery at Kanchanaburi. This tiger(Indo-Chinese) was only approx 4 - 5 metres away from me, we had no barriers between us and he was untethered, he just looked straight on at me and the camera which gave me the opportunity to capture his face up close. I'm glad that he had had his lunch before we met, Phew!

Wow, fantastic shot Steve. Have you cropped the photo, cause it would be even better if the tigers face was centeret on the canvas.

Very impressive close up, I like the tight crop. He looks a little tired, maybe you should have dangled a steak in front of him ;))

Nice portrait of the tiger, and I like the way that the face isn't centred in the frame but only a part of it is included - we don't need to see the whole tiger to see it's beauty. Focus looks a little soft, but not so much as to detract from the picture.

Hi Steve,
Athough when during the first seconds I've look at this shot, I got attracted by that fauve eyes, there is something really appealing to this shot. But something seemed wrong about the cropping, it somehow felt unbalance, can really explain why, guess it part of somekind of instinct I've develloped over the years....))) I believe that it needed a more drastic approach. A more intimate perspective. So I've done a workshop to show you, what I'm trying to say. Let me know what you think.
