I found a great spot at Maroubra Beach for photographing surfers in action and the best part is that you don't get wet unless you want to. :o)
I'm waiting for a big swell to happen, coz then I will be out there in a flash.

Great action shot. You've captured the wave and surfer perfectly. I grew up only a few kms. from Maroubra Beach and I 'm pretty sure I know where you've taken this shot from. You're right - a big swell day will suit your Tamron 100-300 nicely.
