[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A little outside my comfort zone here. This shot was taken at one of Sydney's beautiful harbour bays - Rushcutters Bay. It's a more abstract than my usual fare and I've resisted posting it for a long time because I'm entirely unsure about its merits. Can you help?

ciao Marco

Hey Terry,
Hah, we meet again.
Hmmm, a forest of masts. I see what you mean, I'm not quite sure about it as well. I think I like it - it's a bit different. I like the lighting, with the "aura" in the top right, and the bursts of colour from the flags. No, I think I do like it, nothing wrong with a bit abstract.
Regards,
Phil

I love this kind of shot Terry .. for it's simplicity. All the vertical lines, broken here and there with the flags - the kind of shot I wish I would have taken. Great color in the sky too.

Original y atractiva composición...saludos

The towering masts show well against the gradient of greyish to bluish sky, the few flags break the repetition of lines. Well composed with optimum settings. I also get overwhelmed sometimes when getting out of my comfort zone. Keep on experimenting Terry..would love to see the results.

Ciao Terry, fascinating composition with lfantastic graphic and splendid light, very well done, ciao Silvio

Nothing wrong with going out of the comfort zone and doing something different, the merits of this is that it is different and abstract and causes us to think differently about photography. Well done.

Yes, this is an interesting shot. I wasn't that impressed by the thumbnail, but I find the full image more compelling. I think the shot really benefits from the rich details. The only thing is I think the shot would be a little better more off-center. (The tallest mast and the big flag in the center seem to be acting as subjects here). But I think it works well.

Hi Terry,
creative work. i lşike vertical lines and light . greetings.
Burak

I like the shot terry, there’s a lot of interesting features that draw you in. The flags give it a little color. The sky has a good transition of color that contrasts well against the mass of dark masts and wires. Tfs

Matt
